Every photograph has tale to tell. Fortunately, or unfortunately as the case may be, the camera that produces the photo, if it's in focus, doesn't lie and is a spitting image of life itself. A picture is worth a 1000 or more words and on its own, if you look closely, reveals its own story.

More Than Words Can Say - The Ink Spots and Their Music, was written by music historian, radio  personality and respected author, Marv Goldberg, is a thorough look at the rise to fame of the world's most influential black vocal group. The 310-page, hard cover book contains excellent photographs and detailed information on this famous group. It's a must-own book as you reminisce and learn more about the Ink Spots and the entertainment industry. For information contact Scarecrow Press, 4720 Boston way, Lanham, Maryland 20706 or by calling 1-800-462-6420.

A man we loved to photograph was Lorenzo Conyers,
a member of the original Ink Spots in the 50's. Until recently, he was lead singer with Ray Richardson's Ink Spots. Lorenzo died suddenly in Winnipeg on November on November 24, 1999. He died one week short of turning 74. He will be missed as a friend and as a wonderful performer.

But as they say, life and show business must go on. Lorenzo Conyers, a hard act to follow, is no longer in the picture, but I'm sure he's pleased that Ray Richardson will continue to entertain audiences across Canada with the memorable and beloved hits of the Ink Spots.
