The two-hour-plus
show has two sections: the first spotlights Benny Goodman (credited with
starting the Swing Era and referred to as the King of Swing); trumpet king Harry
James (credited for discovering Frank Sinatra.); and Glenn Miller
(the most popular bandleader of all time). The second half features the music of Tommy
Dorsey (the Sentimental Gentleman of Swing); Artie Shaw
(dubbed the King of the Clarinet), and Les Brown, Count Basie and
